Job market will be hit after cuts in Sheffield

Joe Oliver

STUDENTS' Union Education Officer Joe Oliver was interviewed on the university cuts  in Britain  after government's announcements the last days.

Joe  said that government's message about budget cuts and the increase of tuition fees were not the best message for the public.
''Budgets will be cut to 2,9 b by 2014'', he said, ''this is going to affect negatively every student''.

Moreover, the job market will be  tricky and contracted. Sheffield is not going to be out of this. Job market will be hit here, like it happens in other cities.

Concerning the  Students Union ' it is too early to tell if  there will be specific cutbacks' , as Joe points out.

''It is too early to tell you about Union's cuts''
Lastly we asked him his opinion about Nick Clegg and the coalition. He said that before the elections Clegg was against higher tuition fees, whereas after the elections he did not go against.
